Des Moines Going Out: The Tea Festival, and a Clive Closure

A quieter week in Des Moines going out: the Tea Festival brought the world to town, and a Clive bar closes temporarily after a car hits the building.

A sunlit table with a pot of tea, two cocktails, a salad, a corn dog and a caviar bite, with fresh flowers

A lighter week for going-out news, but a couple of things are worth knowing before the weekend.

The Tea Festival brought the world to town

The third annual Des Moines Tea Festival filled the weekend with tastings from all over the world, and vendors walking people through what makes their blends different. If you missed it, We Are Iowa has the recap, flavors, connections, and all.

A Clive bar closes, for now

Rough break out west: a car crashed into the building that houses Ducktail Lounge in Clive, the cozy cocktail spot on NW 86th Street, and the bar has closed temporarily while the damage gets repaired. KCCI has the details. Check their page before you head over, and here's hoping they are back up soon.

That is the week. Quieter than most, but we will see you out there.
